Wash the prunes and cover with cold water, and soak over night. The next morning put them with the water in which they were soaked on the stove and boil five minutes. Sweeten to taste. Remove to the Cooker without removing the cover, for five or six hours. When done, remove prunes to dish and boil syrup ten minutes, and pour over the prunes.
