  • 4 cups boiling water
  • teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup


Add the salt to the boiling water. Add the meal gradually, so that the water will not stop boiling, and stir continually, keeping it directly over the heat 10 minutes. Cook over boiling water ½ to 3 hours longer. Long cooking improves the flavor.
