Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 cup shaved ice
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • ¼ cup brandy or whiskey
  • 4 sprigs mint
  • 1 teaspoon maraschino

Method

Dissolve sugar, water and liquors. Press the mint in to extract the flavor. Stir well, then withdraw the mint and add the fine ice; replace the mint, stems down, leaves above. Trim with fruits in season and serve, in a large thin glass with a straw.
