Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

Mix the dry ingredients by sifting them together. Add the milk, the well beaten eggs and the butter. Beat well and bake in a shallow pan in a hot oven, twenty minutes.
