Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • cups graham flour

Method

Beat egg slightly, add sugar and molasses and the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and place in 3 one pound greased baking powder cans (tight covers), and steam one hour. Then bake in moderate oven 25 minutes.
