Sour Milk Griddle Cakes No. 1

• 1 egg
• ½ teaspoon soda, dissolved in a little water</

Beat egg in pitcher or sauce pan; add milk, if not thick enough, add a little melted butter; add flour, salt and soda. Mix well and bake on a hot griddle as Plain Griddle Cakes.
