  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 6 tablespoons Madeira wine
  • 1 can Franco-American mock turtle
  • 6 thin slices lemon
  • 4 hard boiled eggs
  • 1 qt. soup stock
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 4 cloves


Heat tomatoes, mock turtle and soup, each separately, then mix together, add seasoning and boil all together. In the soup tureen, put the lemon slices, the white of the eggs chopped and the yellow ball of the eggs whole and pour the soup over it.
