Ingredients

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • teaspoon pepper
  • Vegetable or soup stock

Method

Melt sugar in a hot spicier, add the flour and stir, and very gradually add the boiling liquid, then the vinegar and the seasoning. Serve hot with boiled carrots, string beans, etc,
