Place thin slices of bacon (from which the rind has been removed) closely together in a fine wire broiler; place broiler over dripping pan and bake in hot oven until bacon is crisp and brown turning once, or

Place bacon in a cold frying pan, cook very slowly. When bacon is light yellow, it is done. If bacon is too salty, it should be freshened by covering with cold water and bringing quickly to the boiling point. Drain water off and broil.
