  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon rind and juice
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons butter


Mix the sugar and cornstarch, add the boiling water gradually, stirring all the time. Cook 8 or 10 minutes, add lemon juice and butter. Serve hot.
