  • 2 quarts stewed apples
  • 4 eggs
  • Lemon juice
  • Sugar</


Take two quarts tart apples, stewed, strained and sweetened to taste. Cool and add one tablespoonful lemon juice and four yolks, well beaten. Turn this into a buttered dish and bake half an hour in hot oven. Cool, then spread with the whites of egg, beaten stiff, with four tablespoonfuls powdered sugar
