Ingredients

  • cups butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 yolks, beaten
  • 1 pt. milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 6 whites of eggs, beaten
  • ¼ cup sugar

Method

Cream butter, add sugar, then stir in the beaten yolks, add the flour and lastly the beaten whites.

Bake in deep, buttered pudding dish and when done, make 6 or 7 slashes in cake, pour in the milk sweetened with the ¼ cup sugar and bake again until milk is absorbed. Serve warm with cold Custard Sauce, No. 2.
