Break marshmallows in pieces, add the milk and let cook over hot water until dissolved. Remove from fire, stir well and when cool, fold and whip in the stiffly beaten whipped cream. Place in mould that has been dipped in cold water and sprinkle the broken nut pieces all through the mixture. Chill and let stand 8 or more hours. Place in serving dish and serve ice cold, surrounded with lady fingers.
