  • 1 quart hot cream
  • 1 cup dried brown bread crumbs
  • ¾ cup

Method

Dry some stale brown bread in the oven, pound and roll it fine; sift through a fine strainer. Mix the sifted crumbs with the hot cream, add salt and sugar and when cold freeze as usual. Stale sponge corn cake may be dried and used in the same way.
