  • 1 cup chestnuts
  • 1 pt. cream, whipped
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons sherry


The chestnuts must measure 1 cupful after boiling and put through a press, see Chestnut Vegetable; add cream, sugar; vanilla and sherry. Put in a mould and pack in ice and salt 3 hours. Decorate with maraschino cherries and marrons.
