  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water or milk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla, lemon, or other extract
  • Or 1 teaspoon lemon juice


To the sugar add the liquid, a little at a time, until thin enough to spread. Flavor, stir and spread with broad bladed knife.
