Ingredients

  • White of 1 egg
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Put the unbeaten white of the egg into the bowl, add the sugar slowly beating with a spoon. When all has been added stir in the lemon juice.

Or heat white until stiff, adding enough sugar to spread, then add flavoring. For chocolate frosting, omit the lemon juice, and add ½ oz. of melted chocolate and ½ teaspoon vanilla or a little cinnamon.
