  • White of 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons cold water, or
  • Juice of ½ lemon, or
  • Both water and juice
  • cups confectioner's sugar


Add water or fruit juice to unbeaten white of egg. Stir in the sugar, until thin enough to spread, more or less, as required. This makes a soft creamy icing.
