  • 1 cup banana pulp
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Juice of ½


Cook together a cup of sifted banana pulp (peeled bananas passed through a sieve), the juice of half a lemon, or an orange, the sugar and butter; when thick and cold spread upon the cake. Or heat the ingredients in a double boiler and then stir in an egg beaten with a tablespoonful of sugar; cook and stir until thickened, then cool. Spread on cake.
