  • 1 lb. figs
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Juice of ½ lemon


Put figs through chopper. Mix all together and let simmer and cook slowly until it becomes a smooth paste. Let cool before using. If desired add 1 tablespoon sherry wine.
