  • 1 lb. figs, chopped fine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • Whites of 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • Vanilla to taste


Boil figs, sugar and water slowly to a smooth paste, about 15 minutes. Set aside to cool. Beat whites until stiff, add powdered sugar and flavoring, and combine the two mixtures.
