  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar

Method

Mix and sift flour, baking powder and spices as directed. Cream, butter and sugar, add the beaten yolks, then the flour and milk alternately, the flavoring and beaten whites last. Beat well and bake twenty to thirty minutes. Two ounces of melted chocolate may be used, added after the yolks of eggs, or two tablespoon
