  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon almond flavoring
  • Whites of 4 eggs


Mix and sift baking powder and flour. Cream the butter, add the sugar gradually. Add the flour and milk alternately, then the flavoring, and lastly cut in the whites of the eggs, beaten until stiff. Bake in a moderate oven.
