Gold Cake No. 2

• 1½ cups sugar
• 1 cup butter
• ¾ cup

Stir butter and sugar well, then add eggs, one at a time, stirring a half hour, add lemon and lastly milk and flour, alternately. Bake one hour in a moderate oven.
