Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh washed butter
  • ¼ lb. cornstarch
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ lemon (juice and rind)
  • tablespoon rum or brandy
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Method

Cream butter and sugar, add beaten yolks, mix flour and corn-starch and baking powder and add to the mixture with the lemon juice and rum. Bake in a round or square loaf.
