  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs


Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, one at a time; the molasses and the flour, fruit, spices and baking powder, mixed and stirred alternately into the mixture with the cold coffee, then add the brandy and bake in brick loaf pans gently, in a rather slow fire, until well baked.
