Sunshine Cake No. 1

• 6 eggs
• A pinch of salt added to the eggs before beating
• ⅓ teaspoon

Sift, measure and set aside flour and sugar; then sift flour four times; separate the eggs; beat yolks to a very stiff froth; whip whites to foam, add cream of tartar, and whip until very stiff-add sugar to the yolks and beat; then add the beaten whites, gradually, and flavoring, then fold in flour lightly. Put in moderate oven at once, in ungreased pan; will bake in thirty to forty-five minute
