Orange Layer Cake

• 5 eggs, yolks
• 2 cups pulverized sugar
• Juice of 1

Beat yolks light, add sugar, beat again. Then add water, orange juice and part of the rind and the flour, sifted three times, and baking powder mixed. Lastly fold in the beaten whites of three eggs. Bake in layers in a moderate oven.

Icing: Whites of two eggs, beaten stiff, powdered sugar to spread and the rest of the grated rind of orange.
