  • About

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 scant cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup flour, sifted three times

Beat yolks well with the sugar, add sifted flour and the whites beaten stiff. Spread on seven tins (one-quarter inch high), well buttered and floured. When baked, remove from tins at once.

Filling: Three eggs, cups sugar, 3 sticks Maillard's sweet chocolate, a little vanilla. Boil in double boiler, stirring constantly. When thick, set out to cool and then add one-half pound butter (scant); stir this well, spread between the layers, over top and sides. Let cool to harden.
