  • 9 eggs, separated
  • ½ lb. almonds, unblanched and grated
  • cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder


Beat yolks well with sugar and add alternately the stiffly beaten whites and grated almonds; then fold in lightly the flour mixed with the baking powder. Place in well greased spring form and bake in a moderate oven about 40 minutes.
