  • 5 yolks of eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup almonds, blanched and grated
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup grated bread
  • 2 tablespoons wine
  • 1 lemon, grated rind
  • 5 whites of eggs, beaten stiff


Beat yolks and sugar until very light, soak the wine with the crumbs and add and mix all together, the beaten whites last. Bake in two layers, Brod Torte Filling, between.
