Ingredients

  • 8 yolks of eggs
  • cups sugar
  • ¼ lb. chopped raisins
  • ¼ lb. almonds, blanched and grated
  • ½ lb. ground poppyseed
  • 1 oz. citron
  • 1 lemon, juice and rind
  • 8 whites of eggs

Method

Beat eggs and sugar until very light, add rest of the ingredients, beaten whites last. Bake ½ hour in a moderate oven. Frost with Plain Frosting, flavored with 1 tablespoon rum.
