Ingredients

  • 10 yolks of eggs
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • cups rye bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated chocolate
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds
  • A little citron, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons preserved or stewed fruit
  • 1 wineglass claret
  • 10 whites of egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

Method

Stir the yolks of eggs and sugar until very light. Mix the dry and then add the other ingredients, beaten whites lastly. Bake in spring form, one hour, moderate oven.
