Ingredients: Vanilla or Rum flavoring; ½ lemon juice and rind; 2 tablespoons flour; 1 teaspoon baking powder; 6 eggs; ¾ cup milk; ¼ lb. grated walnuts; 6 grated lady fingers; 1 egg yolk; 2 tablespoons sugar; ½ lb. granulated sugar; ¾ lb. grated walnuts

Method

Beat the yolks with the sugar, add the other ingredients in given order; mixing baking powder with flour. Bake in layers in moderate oven.

Beat egg and sugar and cook with milk to a custard, stirring constantly, add nuts and flavoring. Ice top to suit, or use Nut Filling, No.1, in place of the above.
