Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • cup flour
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cloves
  • Speck salt
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon ginger

Method

Cream butter and add sugar gradually, then add the egg. Mix and sift dry ingredients and add alternately with hot watt and molasses. Bake in muffin pans.
