Spice Cookies No. 1

• ⅔ cup butter
• 1½ cups sugar
• 2 whole eggs

Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs, the raisins, chopped, spices, and then alternately flour, and sour milk, in which soda has been dissolved. Drop by teaspoonfuls on buttered tins and bake, in a hot oven.
