Jelly Cookies

• 5½ tablespoons butter and lard
• 1 cup sugar

Cream butter, add sugar, egg well beaten, and milk. Mix and sift dry ingredients and add to the first mixture. Add vanilla. Toss on floured board. Cut out some with cookie cutter and place in the center of each cookie a teaspoon of jelly. Cut out covers with a jumble or doughnut cutter with hole in c
