  • ½ lb. dates
  • ¼ lb. walnuts, chopped
  • White cookie dough


Follow recipe for Sugar Cookies. Toss dough on floured board; roll into one large thin sheet, brush plentifully with the melted butter, strew the dates, stoned and cut in small pieces, and the walnuts, all over the top; sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Start at one side and roll the dough over and over like a jelly roll; then cut roll into pieces
