  • 2 cups sugar, maple, brown or white
  • 1 cup


Stir the mixture all the time. Boil until soft ball in water or until you can stir it to a cream on a buttered plate. After removing from fire, cool and beat until grain changes. Put on plate and cut in squares. Put in nuts if desired. Place in buttered pan, cool and cut in squares.

Double the quantity of cocoa or chocolate if you desire.
