  • About

  • 5 qts. of popped corn
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Fresh corn does not pop well. Have fire hot; have corn in popper one kernel deep, shake over fire. Do not heat corn too quick, continue shaking after it has popped to "cook" it. Put the nice, white corn in a greased pan. Boil the rest until brittle in cold water, pour over popcorn; form in balls and let cool.
