  • 2 lbs. large raisins, seeded and chopped
  • 1 lb. white loaf sugar
  • 1 lemon, cut up
  • 6 quarts boiling water


Put all in a stone jar, cover and stir every day for a week. Then strain, bottle and cork. Good in 10 or 12 days.
