Ingredients

  • 6 lbs. Damson plums
  • lbs. sugar
  • 1 pt. vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ½ tablespoon allspice
  • ½ tablespoon cloves

Method

Remove stones from plums. Boil vinegar, sugar and spices (ground), then add plums and boil slowly 30 minutes. Place in jars and cover well.
