  • 4 qts. small white onions
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 qts.


Peel onions under water, add salt and let stand over night. Place in colander, pour cold water over to rinse and let drain. Tie spices in thin bag. Boil with sugar and vinegar, throw in onions, let boil up and pour at once to overflowing into air-tight bottles or jars.
