  • ½ lb. round steak of beef
  • Salt to taste


Select a piece of steak from the rump or upper part of round. Broil or warm slightly one or two minutes to set free the juices, then squeeze out the juice by means of a press or lemon squeezer, into a slightly warmed cup. Salt, if necessary, and serve at once. Prepare only enough to serve, as it does not keep well.
