  • 1 lb. lean mutton, chopped very fine
  • 1 pt. water, cold

Method

To make this quickly for a sick person, pour the cold water over the mutton, let stand until the water is very red, then heat it slowly and let it simmer 10 minutes; strain, season with salt and serve hot.
