In my home, Japanese rice with mustard sauce permanently holds a place in our hearts and space in our stomachs. During the pandemic, when we couldn’t go out to eat at restaurants, my younger daughter craved Japanese food. This prompted me to seek out Japanese dishes to make at home, and as luck would have it, this one fell into my lap. The pandemic brought much grief, so discovering new recipes was a comfort during this time of uncertainty, which I’m sure many of you also experienced.
