The yardlong bean we call chori is also called asparagus bean, snake bean, cow pea, bodi and several other names. This Asian bean grows on vines and is generally a foot long. It is hard to eat this bean without cooking it for a long time and preferably with spices and oil. The Parsi food repertoire includes a delicious way of preparing this unusual bean.
