Comfort food at its best. Lentils are enjoyed as a staple by millions of people all over the Subcontinent which includes India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Full of protein, they are cooked with healthy herbs and aromatic spices such as turmeric, ginger and garlic. Served with warm rotli, crusty bread or naan, they are often the main course for family meals. This recipe, of course, has the flavours typical of Parsi food with the traditional trilogy of tikkhu-khattu-mitthu.<
