Growing up, we had vegetables prepared in many ways. Spinach, which was not a particular favourite of ours was definitely the most difficult to serve for a family meal. Here is one recipe our mother used to prepare spinach in familiar Parsi food flavours. She served it with Khichri and yogurt Kudhi and poppadums. Salad with this dish generally consisted of fresh radishes and carrots.

Ironically, this was on the menu when, years ago I was invited by a small hotel
