While there are plenty of curry recipes to pick from, here is one that is typically made in Parsi kitchens. It is chunky rather than smooth, has a beautiful creamy colour, a fragrant aroma and a very light flavour. As a child it was my most favourite food, for it was adult food without being spicy and included my favourite pomfret fish.
It was a sweet old gentle neighbor, Mehramai who taught my mother and here I share it in her memory.
